About a week ago, I met someone who definitely qualifies as a major foodie, Danny Chung. He’s incredibly proficient at both cooking and baking, so check out his blog for some beautiful pictures of the food that he prepares. It is definitely refreshing to meet someone who shares a passion for food - you can talk to people on a different wavelength. 

Anyway, it was his birthday today, and I had the pleasure of cooking him his birthday dinner. Here it is - a nice, simple grilled steak with white asparagus, caramelized onions and mushrooms with a hint of mustard and red wine, and sauteed yukon gold potatoes. 

I’ve been giving a lot of food presents recently - either nights out at nice restaurants or dinners that I prepare myself. Even though the meal itself doesn’t last long, I hope that the memories do.
