I’m a foodie - someone devoted to “refined sensuous enjoyment of good food and drink,” and I do foodie things - trying out new recipes in my apartment, hitting up nyc’s best restaurants with my closest friends, manning the grill at rooftop barbeques, and setting my microwave (or myself) on fire for the sake of a good flambe.
I’m not really surprised I turned out this way. Before I was a college student, I rarely missed an episode of Giada De Laurentiis’ show on Food Network, Everyday Italian at 4:30 pm. Even as a 13 year old, I had an obsession with enology and fine dining. Picture me in middle school reading a copy of Wine Spectator from the magazine bin during my bathroom breaks.
Actually, don’t.
Anyway, these are the humble beginnings of my very own food blog. Food has worked its way into all of my fondest memories, cheered me up in the worst of times, and connected me to the people I care about the most. It’s an incredibly important part of my life, and I hope to share some of my adventures with you.
Here’s an amuse-bouche of what’s to come - a little appetizer I made for my family before a nice memorial weekend dinner. Petit crab cakes with an avocado-tomato relish and a quenelle of spiced remoulade.

A big thanks to Eric Huang for helping me get this thing started, Anthony for his blogging expertise, and mom and dad for getting me a camera that I can use to take pictures for this blog!
